Pink Saturday~Vintage Linens

It's Pink Saturday fun again. What fun! Be sure to visit Beverly, our dear hostess of this weekly event.

A beloved family member; a beloved shedding family member: Homer.

Vintage linens; how I adore them! There is something about the vibrant colors and designs that speak to my cottage heart.
I have 5 pillow covers made from old Wilendur tablecloths.

These are handmade but not by moi.

I am sure that no perfect tablecloth was chopped up to make these. The tablecloths must have had a tear, a stain, a moth hole...
What a great way to use something that is not in good condition. When I am on the hunt, I keep in mind that the linen can have some flaws but still be used to make something else.

You can get some real steals this way. Often, old linens are just a few dollars.

I'm a bit partial toward this sweet clover pattern. I haven't seen much of it.

I am wishing you all a weekend of refreshment this Labor Day weekend!

Now, that I have posted this pictures, I am pretty sure you can see Black Lab hair on the couch. Ewwwwww, you know we love 0ur family pets and they love the couch!
Black and pink go well together, don't they?

Hi Cindy!
Happy Pink Saturday sweetie. As always another great post. Love the vintage linen pillows. They are so beautiful. I just love textiles. Tablecloths are my weakness. I too, love the one with the little clovers. It must be the Irish in me. Thanks for sharing. Please stop by and say hi, I so love it when you do. Country hugs, Sherry

Love the vintage linens turned pillows. I just bought some tablecloths with some stains and figured if I can't get them out I would cut up the fabric for pillows!

I read up on a lot of dogs before we decided on a lab. One of the books said labs shed twice a year. I thought I could handle that. After a year of constanly cleaning up lab hair I read the following somewhere..."If someone tell you labs only shed twice a year realize it's for 6 months at a time."

Love my lab anyway!

Hi Cindy! I just came across some this week myself at a nearby garage sale! LOVE IT, and LOVE your pillows!! Now, as for the dog hair?.. I won't worry about the dog hair, if you won't worry about my dust, and the occasional cobwebs that show up on MY photos! (0; I did not participate this week, but I still wanted to wish you a Happy Pink Saturday, and a great weekend! ~tina

I love your pillows. Old linens led to me starting my company, Linens and Laurel. Too precious, they are.

Still visiting around for last PS. See you for PS soon.
