Blue Monday~Who Can Resist a Dutch Boy?

Today, I am participating in Blue Monday, for the first time. I have always loved all shades of blue and enjoy seeing all the Blue Treasures over at Smiling Sally’s. Happy Blue Monday Y'all! I will be stopping by to visit as many of you as possible.

005 Two of anything makes a collection so I guess I collect Dutch Boys.Within a week, I found 3 of these sweet little guys, in different places; different states.

004012 The tall Dutch boy was found at the local Goodwill.I think I paid, maybe a buck…knowing myself, I ‘m sure it wasn’t much more than that. The little guy was found at a Goodwill in Oregon a couple days later, when I went out to Oregon and Washington for a wedding. It’s hard to resist thrift stores in other states. You are just sure they have different, perhaps better “loot”. He was only .49. My new collection cost under $5. I will be on the look out for more Dutch Boys. Are there, ever Dutch Girls?

002 This happy Dutch Boy on a mug was found in a little shop for only 3.00. He is so cute and the mug is unique as it has a “rear” view.003

011I am having a Give-Away! Please check out the details here.

Cindy,
I love your budding collection of delft blue! When I lived in Dubai I flew through Amsterdam going in and out of the country, and would buy a Delft piece each time. I have a cute kissing couple, and have seen a girl wearing a skirt carrying water buckets on each shoulder. Also in the UAE they are very tolerant of westerners and people did not have problems, unless they blatantly broke the law. Happy Blue Monday.

the mug is my favorite. And if there were no Dutch girls there would be no more Dutch boys...;~)
