I look forward to Pink Saturday all during the week. There is just something about this day and the pink-lovers that participate, that warms my soul. And my soul can use warming on these cold, snowy days. I have found that the pink party-goers are the sweetest of the blogging bunch. How could one love pink and not be full of sweetness?!
Zip right over to Beverly’s site; How Sweet the Sound, to attend the Pink party. There are a ton of friends on the party list that would love for you to drop by and say “hello”.
Does this mid century dishware look familiar? I recall seeing this and similar types at my friend’s homes while growing up.
My friend, Debbie, sets a beautiful pink table with pink flower placemats and pink rose china.
This pink crystal or glass, footed bowl is lovely as a centerpiece.
The pink and gold striped glasses are, well, um, happy, is the word that comes to mind.
Debbie is , also, good at creating mosaic pieces. You can see part of the mosaic picture frame she created on the left. Mosaic is an art that is on my “bucket list” of things I want to do. It is in my heart and my head, to create mosaics and I dream of being to the point of actually being able to try it. I have the feeling that I’ll just have to answer the urge, plunge in and just do it. If I keep waiting until I am caught up with everything else, it may never happen!
A row of pink topiary trees create a garden on top of the hutch. Finally I have these embroidered linens with pink flowers and crocheted trim in pinks from light to dark. I love these vintage linens made with such care. It seems that it is a skill of the past. Young ladies always learned this art. I don’t know anyone of this generation who does this; sad really. I never learned and so I haven’t been able to pass it on to my children.
Do you embroider? Do you have embroidered linens that someone in your family made?
Thanks for stopping by! I love the company :)

Hi Cindy..
I loved your pretty pink post and I too always look forward to Pink Saturdays..the pink ladies are the sweetest ever. I really liked the topiaries and ooo,the embroidery is beautiful. I agree, some of the needle arts are being lost..I wish we could pass more along. I learned to embroidery when I was very young and as we speak, have several projects going. Cindy, if you want to learn..don't let anything hold you back. Embroidery is not hard and even beginners work is so sweet.. If I can help in any way, let me know..I have lots of patterns and will be posting more.
Happy Pinks and have a lovely weekend..
Happy Pink Saturday Cindy Sweetie...
I so love this post. Love those glasses, oh my gosh that pink is devine. I just adore them. I have never seen any quite like them. So unusual.
Your topiaries are so beautiful on top of your cabinets. Gives such color to the air space up there. What an element of surprise to the room.
I still do embroider, not as much as I used to. I still do tea towels and a few odds and ends of pillows. Anyone can learn and they have some pretty easy lessons on line with the basic stitches. If it is something you would like to do, you should give it a try. It really is rewarding.
Thanks for sharing you pink post with me sweetie. Please stop by and let me share my pink post with you as well.
Country hugs and so much love...Sherry
Cindy, I love embroidery work. My mom taught me to embroider when I was a child, and I've continued to love hand stitching ever since.
I posted a PS today about some dishes I found for my niece who loves pink and dishes. Well, when I saw your mid-century moden pink dishes, my niece immediately came to mind. She loves this type of thing. Can you give me the details on the mark. I'd like to keep an eye out for some of these for her.
Thanks for sharing. Happy Pink Saturday!
All such lovely pink things. I especially like your vintage embroidered piece :)
Blessings!
Gail
Love your antique dishes!
Love all of this amazing pink. Thanks so much for sharing. I will be back soon and have a wonderful Pink Saturday. Cheers, Lia
Love your pinks! Yes, I do embroider and I do have linens that my grandmother embroidered and tatted. they are my treasures!

I have a lot of "tea towels" from my grandma. You are right, no one does that anymore.
OMgosh I love your atomic table set!
Happy Pink Saturday!
That is a wonderful set of mid-century dishes! I love vintage embroidery too. I was just going through my stash today trying to get organized. I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful grandmother who taught me to embroider, and I still do a lot of it today. Have a lovely week. Terri
Super awesome Pinks!!! Love them all! I am a kitchen stuff girl!
Happy Pink Saturday!
Hugs, Lisa
Some of us still do embroidery and cross stitch...it hasn't gone to stitchen heaven yet...thank goodness! As someone self-taught, I can confirm it is easy to learn. I have many linens and pillowcases passed down to me from my Grandmother's collection and a set of pillow cases that look very similar to yours.
Thanks for sharing Cindy!
This inspires me to get my floss and needles out again!

Oh, oh, oh! So many "I wants!" ;) It's not too late to embroider. It's verrry easy. I learned as a girl - and just did some recently after not doing it for years. Do it!
Happy Wonderful Pinks to you :)
Love those pretty pink dishes! Thank you for sharing.

Hi Cindy. Lovely pinks, I remember Milmack (as we called) only the ones my mom had had pink roses and pink bowls, in fact I still have one of the serving bowls, wish I had the dishes, but they were rather worn if I remember right.
I embroider, but not on pillow cases, instead I do crazy quilting, I do have a few things made by my grandmother and mom.

Hi Cindy..I am so late with my Pink Saturday visits, lol..I try to get through them throughout the week.
I love your pinks..especially those striped glasses..and the mid century dishes..I love vintage anything.
I have embroidered in my life, not in many years though..its almost a lost art, isn't it.
Have a great week!
