Emmett was my Valentine’s Day present from hubby, exactly 1 year ago. He is a rescued kitty and is purrrr love! He is slightly pink, just for today :)Lovely pink wedding! J’aime les chats. I am a cat person. I love pictures of kitties and the vintage prints of kitties are so precious. For Pink Saturday, I tried to find pics with at least a little pink. The kitties are playing so nicely together. London Bridges is one of their favorite games. There is a smidge of pink on their noses!

Thrifty Finds, Hobby Lobby & Spray Paint

It's that favorite time of the week again: Today's Thrifty Treasures hosted by Rhoda at Southern Hospitality. You will find the most fabulous things ever at super-duper prices. The participants really know how to spot the deals.


Hobby Lobby is having an irresistable 80% off sale. Some things were even more than 80% off. I am featuring the great buys that I found there yesterday.


Why are frames always so expensive? Probably because the manufacturers know that everyone needs them. When I find a good deal I snatch them up. I like this French Postcard design.

Emmett likes to watch me spray paint from his favorite observation rock in the backyard. Not bad! I like the French theme.

Tres jolie toothbrush holder was only $1! The original price was 9.99. I needed one of these for the kid's bathroom.

Fleur de Lis shelves for $2 each at Hobby Lobby look much better in Heirloom White. I have a new love and admiration for Heirloom White Spray Paint by Krylon. Pretty much every thrifty find from the last couple of weeks are now Heirloom White.

I wouldn't have paid 18.00 each for these; no way. For 1.80 each, I will figure out a place for them; I'm thinking a black and white vignette...

I bought 2 of these for this price and they are nice as is, but, I am a spray painting maniac. I can't be stopped!

The Princess House Crystal Candle Holders that I bought for $2 each at the Habitat for Humanity thrift store, have left the 90's behind and now look like this.

I forgot to grab some candles. Pink or Mint will look pretty.

Ohhh so Pink Saturday

One of my favorite things is my bowl with precious angels all the way around.Inside, at the moment I have pink rose petals scented with rose oil. The dried rose petals don't have much of a natural scent, but, the petals hold the oil really well. Not too strong of smell, however, just a subtle fragrance that is not overbearing. I have some French Lavender that I use sometimes; also, very pretty. I love using dried flours and make my own potpourri. I set little bowls of dried flowers around my home or put some in an organza bag with a pretty ribbon to give as gifts. I'll show more of this soon. Ahhhhh, this is the life. I love my Emmett, a rescue cat that my hubby got me for Valentine's Day.

Blog Cat

Doesn't a Blog need a cat? This is Emmett, a rescue cat that joined our family in February. He is probably 3 years old and is handsome indeed! He is gray-blue with with key-lime eyes. Since we have 3 dogs, we anticipated the need to ease him in gently. No need! He planted himself into the middle of our lives and firmly let the dogs know that , like-it-or-now, he is here. The dogs could make it easy or hard; their choice. Now he cuddles with Homer the big black Lab,who is scared to tell him that is really is not ok.
